GORE-TEX®
GORE-TEX® is a waterproof and “breathable” membrane material widely used in rain-protective clothing and footwear. On the outside it reliably blocks wind and moisture, while on the inside it helps moisture vapour escape, reducing condensation build-up.
GORE-TEX® fabric consists of three layers:
- a durable, abrasion-resistant outer layer that protects the membrane from wear;
- the breathable membrane layer – the core protective component;
- an inner layer that helps protect the membrane from contamination (e.g., sweat).
The GORE-TEX® membrane is the “heart” of the product – it contains billions of pores per 1 cm², which give the fabric its key properties: waterproofness, windproofness and resistance to temperature changes, while maintaining breathability.
VIBRAM®
VIBRAM® is a patented outsole technology developed for mountaineering, providing maximum grip on various surfaces and helping prevent slipping. Due to durability and resistance to temperature changes, VIBRAM soles are also widely used in work, military and other specialized footwear.
PrimaLoft®
PrimaLoft® is a thermal insulation material used in products worn in cooler weather. It offers four key benefits: warmth, water repellency, softness and packability.
The insulation is made of very fine fibres that create countless air pockets. These pockets trap body heat and reduce cold air penetration. Even when damp, PrimaLoft® retains its thermal performance better than many standard fills, as the fibres are coated with a water-repellent finish.
G-LOFT®
G-LOFT® is an innovative insulation that combines the best warmth characteristics of natural down with the resilience of synthetic fibres. It provides warmth, lightness and breathability even in cold and windy conditions.
Thanks to the “memory effect”, the fibres return to their original shape and maintain performance even after washing. G-LOFT® helps keep an optimal temperature both indoors and outdoors.
UF PRO® air/pac®
UF PRO® air/pac® are shoulder inserts used in UF PRO jackets, hoodies and shirts, featuring an air-permeable pad of about 8 mm. They:
- reduce heat transfer;
- are lightweight, flexible and barely noticeable;
- when carrying a backpack, help distribute weight and allow airflow around the shoulder strap areas.
UF PRO® Hood/Harness
UF PRO® Hood/Harness is a hood harness technology designed to keep the hood stable on your head. The system is built so the hood:
- does not obstruct your field of view;
- does not restrict movement;
- remains comfortable in harsh weather.
The harness length and height can be adjusted using the integrated headband, and it can also be adapted when wearing a helmet.
GORE® WINDSTOPPER®
Products made with GORE® WINDSTOPPER® fabrics are designed for windy conditions: they are completely windproof while still allowing the body to breathe. The windproof yet air-permeable membrane blocks wind and helps moisture escape.
This combination of protection and breathability minimizes heat loss and helps prevent overheating during activity. The durable outer layer also provides water repellency.
Contagrip®
Contagrip® is an outsole technology that provides stable traction and walking comfort on varied terrain. Made from durable rubber, it is highly abrasion-resistant and delivers excellent grip on uneven surfaces. Contagrip® is a technology by Salomon used in footwear for different purposes.
3M™ Thinsulate™
3M™ Thinsulate™ is a premium synthetic insulation used in clothing and sleeping bags designed for harsh conditions. Thinsulate™:
- retains heat efficiently;
- does not absorb moisture and dries quickly;
- maintains thermal performance even when damp.
